RAMÓN LÓPEZ VELARDE GARDEN
At the entrance you can read: "There used to be a cemetery here" but this is nothing to be afraid of, like everything in this wonderful city, the López Velarde Garden has been renovated many times, it was a cemetery, a national stadium, with a capacity for 60,000 people and a modern multi-family building of functionalist architecture designed by Mario Pani and Salvador Ortega.

GREEN ROMA GARDEN
If your thing is sustainability, environmental care and common welfare, 20 minutes away from Casa Roma Sur you will find Huerto Roma Verde, a place where neighbors of the area meet to take courses, workshops and live experiences around social welfare and the preservation of our planet.

CAMPECHE GALLERY
15 minutes from Casa Roma Sur, this contemporary art gallery founded in 2020 by Fatima Gonzalez and Alejandro Jassan, is located on the first floor of the Kin Pech building (art deco, 1951). It is a perfect place for a weekend Gallery Weekend.

A 2-minute walk away, this gallery is a space for independent projects founded and directed by artist Martin Soto Climent and independent curator Chris Sharp.

EL CARDÓN EMPANADAS
Defined by themselves as "Comida Argentina de Barrio" they have a delicious menu of empanadas and choripanes, to eat in or take away, they are located only 3 blocks from Casa Roma Sur.

GROSS CHICKEN
A 10 minute walk from Casa Roma Sur, this delicious restaurant run by chef Emiliano Padilla, named by Food&Wine magazine as one of the Best New Chefs 2020, has a Menu of combos to share a delicious fried chicken with sides or you can also try their delicious breakfasts from 8am to 1pm.

ESCANDÓN ICE CREAM PARLOR
If after lunch you have a little room left for something sweet, 2 minutes away from Casa Roma Sur you can find Heladería Escandón, a place where you can find animal milkshakes (Cat, Bear, Unicorn) or popsicles that rock as much as David Bowie, Rolling Stones or "Baby Yoda".
Their particularity is that their flavors change daily, so keep an eye on Instagram to find their menu of the day.
