Art Collection Covive | Farewell Poems for the Blue Sunset

Farewell poems for the blue sunset

Title: Farewell poems for the blue sunset.

Year: 2020

Artist: @marthamunarl

Material: 10 plates of 120cm Two-stroke solvent, drypoint, inks/acrylic. Variable installation dimensions.

For the realization of the installation, previously engraved plates were reused, which already had a history, a previous attack and were again subjected to a process to re-signify the content.

Art, being a reflection of our life, generates community because it invites us to dialogue directly with our environment. Seeing the effect that our action has on a recycled material that is still a piece allows us to be aware of a more sustainable life: needing less and recycling what we thought was lost.

The piece invites contemplation and insistent dialogue between the spectator, the piece and the community: to see how the very movement of the suspended plates changes their reflection and forces us to transit and see it from all sides, to dialogue with those around us about the constant changes of the piece.

This piece, like us, is an accumulation of memories that the artist leaves to share in community.
