Hello Community! My name is Ivette Zertuche, I'm from Leon Guanajuato and 4 years ago I moved to the great Mexico City. I am a marketer, and I am specialized in Digital Marketing; In Covive I collaborate with the digital communication, inside them we want to transmit the essence of the community and the great experience that is to live inside one of our houses.

WHAT IS MEXICO CITY FOR YOU?

It's living a dream! For as long as I can remember I dreamed of living here and one day I made it come true. It has also been the place where I have found myself and have formed a family with people that life has put in my way, each one incredible in their own way and very particular background, allowing me to call them friends every day.

WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO GET TO KNOW MEXICO CITY?

What I love about Mexico City and why it is magical is that it is made for walking or biking. Each one of its streets is full of history, which makes that in every corner you will find some story you didn't know.

You can also get to know it for its food, you can find it all here! And you have to try it all, from the carnitas stand outside your house to the fancy restaurant that was recommended to you. Who knows, maybe the next time you go for a walk you'll find your new favorite food place in the whole world.

TOP 5 RECOMMENDATIONS IN MEXICO CITY

  1. Santa Maria la Ribera: An emblematic neighborhood of the city, very close to what was once the Buenavista train station (now Buenavista Forum) has it all, the Vasconcelos library (one of the most beautiful in the world) the Quiosco Morisco (Mexican Pavilion at the Universal Exposition 1884-85), the museum of geology and poplar (Famous for its contribution to the musical culture of Latin America). Great artists and intellectuals lived here (such as Dr. Atl) and it still has an important architectural value for the city, being considered the first modern subdivision of the city.
  2. The MUNAL : The National Museum of Art is one of my favorite places in the city, located in the Manuel Toslá square (Don't lose in front of the mining palace, where the statue of El Caballito is actually Carlos IV of Spain), has one of the most impressive collections of Mexican Art I have ever seen with works by Miguel Cabrera, Manuel Tolsá, José María Velasco, Alfredo Ramos Martínez, Dr. Atl, María Izquierdo, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros and many more. Atl, María Izquierdo, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros and many more.
  3. El Jardín del arte de Tlacoquemecatl: If you are in the south of the city you can take a walk through this beautiful garden located in Colonia del Valle, very close to there you can go to eat at Fonda Margarita, famous for being recommended by Anthony Bourdain to go eat a delicious steak in chile pasilla, a pancita or huevos rancheros and then a block away you will find Té Cuento, which for me is the best tea house in the city.
  4. Teatro Milán - Foro Lucerna : If theater is your thing, the Foro Lucerna always has a good line-up and before your show you can stroll around Colonia Juaréz, visit the Lucerna dining room, the Chocolate Museum (MUCHO) or eat a delicious ice cream from Casa Morgana, which always has exotic flavors on its menu.
