We continue exploring everything we can do in Monterrey when we get to Casa Curie and we find one of our favorite activities: Hiking!

Going out into nature, breathing fresh air and being in community is an activity that we enjoy very much and what better than doing it in the famous "City of the Mountains", that's why we have 4 recommendations for hiking and climbing hills in Monterrey.

CHIPINQUE ECOLOGICAL PARK

Also called Chipinque Nature Reserve, located adjacent to the metropolitan area of Monterrey, is a space that offers more than 20 trails for walking, biking or mixed, as well as viewpoints where you can take beautiful pictures and admire the scenery.

Located in the southwest corner of the metropolitan area, it is part of the Cumbres de Monterrey National Park.

If you are looking for adventure with extraordinary landscapes, you will love this place for its peaks and limestone walls that millions of years ago were part of the seabed and now make imposing natural walls.

MITRAS HILL

Also known as Sierra de las Mitras, located between the municipalities of Monterrey, Santa Catarina and Garcia, is known for having among its 15 peaks, the Pico Perico, one of the three highest peaks of Monterrey, with a height of 1,980msnm and from the top you will have a beautiful view of the city and you can admire the other mountains.

CHUPON HILL

If you are a beginner and want to start hiking, the Chupón hill is one of the easiest routes in Monterrey and you can reach it without leaving the city.

With an extension of 6Km round trip, you can also enjoy the views that allow you to admire the contrast between urban and nature from the top.
